Why Arc of Dawn?

The dawn brings light to the darkness, the light of knowledge, understanding, and resilience that illuminates the mind and heart. It is a time of renewed hope, an opportunity to move forward and embrace possibility, new meaning, and build balance with the darkness.

“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”

Stacey Fitzpatrick, LCSW.

Hello! My name is Stacey Fitzpatrick. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience working with youth, adults, and families.

I serve a wide variety of client populations with different intersectional identities and motivations for engagement in treatment. I practice cultural humility, hold a feminist philosophy, and I am LGBTQI affirming. I also believe that humor holds a healthy place in the healing process! To quote Eric Frankl quoting Friedrich Nietzsche, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” My “Why to live,” is connection and service to others, as well as the absurdity and beauty in the daily

I ground myself in your goals while bringing ideas, exercises, and transparency into our work to find solutions that heal and inspire. I utilize cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and positive psychology interventions as well as music, art, media, literature, memes, and other tools to make meaning and connect with my clients.

I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Functional Family Therapy. Utilizing evidence-based, solution-focused models, I work with my clients to motivate change and improve individual functioning as well as intimate relationships. I welcome all clients, teenagers, adults, and families alike!

Through psychoeducation and interventions from these aforementioned models, I support my clients in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma as well as other mental health diagnoses and presenting problems. I enjoy empowering my clients to explore existential issues, manage life transitions, and cope with grief and loss.

If this sounds like a good fit, please get in touch! I am excited to meet you and embrace the how, the why, and everything in between.
